Just this July-August, the shops here in Riyadh went on sale. As in sale to the max! During the first few weeks, the sale was at around 25-50% off but during the latter weeks of August, discounts went as high as 70% on brands’ spring and summer 2008 collections. Until now that it’s already September, some shops are still on sale just so they can let go of their “old” stuff to usher in their fall and winter lines.
Well, I am not one to pass up a sale so I immediately went to Hayat Mall and the adjacent Sahara Mall at the intersection of the King Abdul Aziz Road and Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Road to grab discounted stuff from brands such as MNG, Zara, Terranova, etc. This is the first time I am experiencing the infamous Saudi Arabian sale fever so might as well make the most of it, right?
True enough, the sale fever is already at high pitch when I visited the malls. On the spring-summer collections of the brands, one thing caught my fancy: BUTTERFLIES.

These pieces evoke memories of running after butterflies in fields of grass during summertime back home. So I’m defintely gonna wear them with shorts. (For easy running! Haha!)
